This weekend I took the family to Marrickville for some wholesome street-racing entertainment. A friend of mine told me about Rocketcar Day, where people gather to watch homemade rocket cars race and ultimately crash and burn. There were some really awesome designs, some cute, some quirky and some just plain crazy. My favourites were the corn on the cob, the cooked lobster and the turd. We learnt that you can attach wheels and a rocket to pretty much anything and it will go really fast and most likely burst into flames. We also learnt how to move out of the way of smoking rocket cars hurtling towards us.
All studio work has been put on hold while we brainstorm ideas for next years winning entry…. Just kidding.
