Vince Frost* appointed Creative Director for Woolworths South Africa
Frost has been appointed to reposition South Africa’s leading retail brand, to implement and evolve the new identity across all areas of branding, including packaging designs across all categories. Woolworths hope Frost’s strong design ethic and specialised skills will help raise the standard of design in South Africa, and create positive opportunities for up and coming designers.
To facilitate the new design studio, Frost will employ local designers, packaging designers and art workers, both experienced and new talent, and will be working with local design schools to provide valuable opportunities for local students. Vince is extremely excited about this opportunity and working with a forward-thinking, design focused organization. Finding and working with new talent is something he has always been passionate about, and to be briefed to work within these guidelines by a client as well regarded as Woolworths South Africa is really exciting.
Vince will be in South Africa until the beginning of December.

Wow, this is exciting news! I think it’s wonderful that a company like Woolworths takes designs and the task of showcasing new voices seriously. This has been evident in Woolworths ethos and approach (look at their SA clothing designers showcase initiative and their ‘green farming’ development, whether it’s food or organic clothing culture cultivation). These are things that don’t happen over night but it’s great to see a company take the bull by the horns and start tackling the business. It’s a spectacular platform to launch and showcase fresh new SA talent. Great to have Vince Frost at the helm.
